No photoshoot at Araluen Botanic Park in Perth is the same as the last. With such a variety of options for backdrops, seasonal changes and just the pure size of Araluen, you will be absolutely spoilt for choice!

Reason 1: Absolutely gorgeous

Having done a few sessions at Araluen myself, I can say with confidence that your gallery will have so much variety and tick so many boxes…some that you didn’t even know you had. Large grassy areas, stairs adorned with branches and flowers, large bodies of water, tall brick pillars perfectly framing large walkways, cosy ‘secret’ passages between trees and hanging branches, even a small waterfall. I could go on but I think you catch my drift.

Reason 2: Variety

Each season throughout the year brings it own different vibe and mood to Araluen. The Tulips Festival in Spring, the Sunflowers in Summer, the gorgeous golden leaves in Autumn and the magnificent Magnolias in Winter, there is something new to see every time you go.

Reason 3: Facilities

Not as magical a point as the others, but a valid and important one. When you are doing a family photoshoot and the kids need the toilet, it’s right there. When you’re pregnant and can’t walk too far, the car park is only a short walk away. We love a location that ticks this important box!

Reason 4: Creativity

Some of my favourite and most memorable sessions occurred at Araluen simply because it tapped into a new side of my creativity. We wandered around, we found new spots, we tried poses and prompts that I had never done before, all because there was so much inspiration around us. I felt the same energy reflected back from the families as well as we collaborated together. Araluen just has that effect.
