Locations

You don’t have to visit a fancy Orchard to get those beautiful brown and gold tones, although it is definitely a lovely option. As a Perth photographer, I have a list of locations we can use that will DELIVER on this and ensure your family photos are a true reflection of those gorgeous Autumn colours.

One example is Kent Street Weir, where the bushes near the water engulf you in a warm bush embrace that feels as magical as it looks on camera.

If Orchards are what you envision when you think of Autumn photoshoots in Perth, then look no further than Raeburn Orchards. Located in Roleystone, Raeburn Orchards Autumn photoshoots are best done during May when it is Persimmon Season. This ensures you are there when the leaves have changed from green to a vibrant orange, but avoid the trees being bare as the leaves start to fall.

Outfits

Autumn in Perth is so ideal for clothing. Want to wear a dress, knit and boots? You’ll be perfectly comfortable. One kid want to wear a T-shirt and the other wants long sleeves? They’ll be fine.

There isn’t much you can do that will go wrong. Stick to the usual styling tips, which can be viewed here, and you’ll be golden. Get it? 😉

Autumn tones

Oranges, browns and golds are my absolute favourite tones to photograph for a setting. The magic and beauty that nature puts on during this season is second only to that of your lovely faces in front of my camera.
Not only that, but imagine how good those colours will look complimenting your interior design in your home when you print and display your artwork.

The best months to book these sessions are mid to end of March – end of May. I find the beginning of the season is still in a transitional phase so if you are chasing an Autumn photoshoot in Perth, try for the end of March.
