My top beach photoshoot location in Perth

Perth beach photoshoot location

Believe it or not, the photoshoot location in Perth can make or break your session, so here are my top 3 Perth beaches that will tick the boxes of being accessible, comfortable, have the right facilities and be quiet without being isolated.

One of the worst things is rocking up to a beach photoshoot location and trying to find a spot away from everyone where you can feel comfortable to pose and show some skin (if you desire) or just have a quiet moment documented with your partner while you celebrate your impending arrival. Nothing ruins that moment more than people running along the beach or playing ball games in the background.

1.Whitfords Beach

  • Ample, close by parking
  • Easy access to beach
  • Public Toilets
  • Clean
  • On the quieter side

For a true beach photoshoot location in Perth, I love Whitfords Beach. This spot is not your typical over crowded location and there are no famous landmarks, but that’s what makes it so great. There is parking a plenty, its an easy walk from the carpark to the sand and along the way you pass by the public toilets, which is sooo handy when pregnant.

I have always found Whitfords to be a lot quieter than most, though not isolated and to me, that’s the perfect combination.

2. Bishop Road Reserve, Dalkieth

  • Parking
  • Easy access to beach
  • Clean
  • Quiet

Another top spot I love is Bishop Road Reserve. This spot is more isolated and secluded, with rocks and trees surround the small space of beach I like to use. To get to the beach, you park up top and walk across the grass to some stairs. I always recommend walking bare foot down this section because once the stairs finish, it is like a concrete ramp that shoes can tend to slip on a bit. But with a bit of care and a slower pace, we will be able to make it down to the sand.

The biggest downside to this spot is that there are no public toilets, so make sure you stop by a McDonalds on the way if you need to use one!

3. Como Beach

  • Ample, close by parking
  • Easy access to beach
  • Public Toilets
  • Clean
  • On the quieter side

Off the Freeway, this beach photoshoot location in Perth is the best choice if you are looking for a jetty. With parking close by, public toilets right there and a beautiful (and generally quiet!) jetty, this is a gorgeous location and perfect for a casual stroll, hand in hand with your loved one(s).

You can’t access the sand much without climbing down some rocks, but if you aren’t fussed on that, this is the spot for you. The parking is across the road, so to access the beach, you just have to walk across the bridge, which is a fairly easy walk and can be done at a slow pace (pregnant waddle? haha) if needed.

This location also has a grassy area right across the footpath, so your gallery can have a variety of jetty and grassy images if you desire…win win!
