My name is Miranda and you may have guessed, but I run Miranda Adie Photography. I specialise in family, maternity and newborn photos with a focus on play-based sessions and natural prompts to ensure you feel present and comfortable, resulting in authentically YOU family photos.

I have been lucky enough to collaborate with Perth Mums Who on a few occasions now, most recently when we did a session at Cubby Cafe in Forrestfield, Perth. With many reasons to enjoy this location, here is a run down of my favourites and how it went.

We arrived at the location and the kids immediately wanted to go play, which is such a good start and a testament to the work Cubby Cafe have put in to creating such a child friendly environment.

I swear, the kids didn’t even notice me, let alone care that I was taking their photos. They were off and feeding the animals straight away with the bags of food you can get for $5. We saw the chickens, turkeys, peacock, donkey, pigs, goats…I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting!

Cute Farm Outfits
Dressed in the cutest gum boots and gorgeous neutral knits and warm clothes, the kids absolutely looked the part of cute farm family that I know will compliment any interior design when hanging the pictures up later.

Not only can farm outfits be aesthetically pleasing and completely on fashion using neutral colours and stylish boots, but they are practical and so comfy! I am huge on dressing your kids for the weather for your photoshoot. I am also completely on board with getting messy and muddy during a session so this ticks both boxes nicely!
Play Equipment and Cubby Lane
After the bags of food were all eaten/dropped on the floor, the kids stomped in puddles and ran races before heading out to the play equipment. This is where they tested their skills in sliding down poles, rock climbing, make believe play in the train station and grocery shop down Cubby Lane.

Normally, I would give a few prompts here and there to encourage the kids to interact with each other and get them comfortable with me and their surrounds. This time, I think I hardly spoke a word. I followed them around as they were completely in their element, being their true selves.

The results truly speak for themselves and I would do more sessions here in a heartbeat!
